Henri Matisse • Woman with a Hat

This custom enamel watch dial was created for a Choppard ref. 16/2235 watch, featuring Henri Matisse's 1905 masterpiece Woman with a Hat (La femme au chapeau).

Grand Feu miniature painting. Multiple firings on a gold plate. To minimize adjustments to the watch case, the dial had to be precisely 0.80 mm in thickness, further complicating the process.
