Pierre-Auguste Renoir • Luncheon of the Boating Party

This dial was created for a Franck Muller watch, featuring Renoir's Luncheon of the Boating Party painting.

This dial features multiple layers of complexity. To begin, the dial is curved, so a special tool was created to ensure that the dial's curvature remained the same in accordance to the specifications throughout multiple firings.

An additional thin (0.20 mm) curved gold plate was machined and baked onto the counter enamel on the backside of the dial to integrate it with the existing movement.
